The course will emphasize the diagnosis, testing, and management of these conditions, with a particular focus on the latest pharmaceutical and biological agents available for treatment. Attendees will gain practical knowledge on incorporating these advanced therapies into everyday clinical practice, with clinical pearls to enhance patient outcomes.

Optometry and Healthcare from the Eye. The Future of Oculomics
1 hr. NJSBO TPA Credit # 5020-2025 – CE Broker Credit # 20-1264589
Oculomics is the study of the association between ophthalmic biomarkers (changes or abnormalities in the eye) and systemic health or disease states. In other words, it's the idea that the eye can act as a window into the health of the whole body. This is because many diseases, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, can cause changes in the eye that can be detected through imaging and measurement techniques.
11:10 AM – 12:00 PM CE 3 Speaker – Lauren White, OD, FAAO
An Eye for AI. Is Artificial Intelligence Ready to Help Us in the Clinic
1 hr. Regular NJSBO Credit #4651-2025 – CE Broker Credit # 20-1264590
A survey of concepts employed in product development using augmented intelligence in the eye care space and present applications. A review of tools and applications that may be repurposed for patient care and optometric office administrative functions. The technology behind tele-optometry; clinical results and patient satisfaction with their experiences.
12:00 PM – 1:30 PM Plated Awards Luncheon in Exhibit Hall
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM General Membership Meeting and Dessert
2:30 PM – 3:20 PM CE 4 Speaker – Steven Sorkin, OD, FSLS
The Business of Specialty Contact Lens Practice
1 hr. NJSBO Regular Credit #4681-2025 – CE Broker Credit # 20-1264591
Specialty Contact Lenses have expanded in popularity from being a niche to a major portion of many optometric practices. This course will discuss the implementation of specialty contact lens services and review instrumentation, contact lenses and care systems, staff considerations, billing and coding, and how to grow your practice to be successful.
3:20 PM – 4:15 PM CE 5 Speaker – Steven Sorkin, OD, FSLS
Corneal Side Effects of Systemic Medications
1 hr. NJSBO Oral Credit #4680-2025 – CE Broker Credit # 20-1264594
Many drugs can damage the cornea, and drug-induced changes can range from asymptomatic deposits that are incidental findings during an examination to irreversible changes that can be life threatening. This can affect a single layer or multiple layers. This course will review some common (and not so common) systemic medications that can cause changes to the cornea.
Important CE Information: Courses presented at this event will be New Jersey State Board of Optometrists (NJSBO) and CE Broker approved only (and are non-COPE courses). Courses will be accepted for CE credit in NJ, NY, PA, and FL.
