Metuchen Vision just celebrated its first birthday, and we're looking for a great doc two days a week to replace our amazing and well-loved Dr. Danford who is relocating out of state in June. This is a small, relaxed, and FUN practice with a focus on building patients for life. Our goal is to make it easy and stress free for our patients to get their eye care and eyewear in our office. Communication is key and we have all the tools and tech to let patients know what's going on in their eyeballs and what they need to do to keep their eyes healthy. Our patient base is largely healthy adults - who bring their parents and their children! Dr. Tobin Ansel has a keen interest in myopia management for children. He researches, teaches, and lectures on the topic and will provide education and mentoring for an associate who wants to learn the latest treatment techniques including atropine therapy, multifocal lenses, and overnight orthokeratology. It's an amazing feeling to look at a little 9 year old and know you're lowering their risk of eye disease later in life (their smile when they realize they can SEE without glasses only adds to the joy!) Pay rate is $550/day for weekdays with a bonus for extra busy days or weekends. We'll take care of licensure (or branch license), professional liability insurance, and give some allowance toward CE. The practice is still new- so although the position is two days a week for now, it is likely that there will be room for increased days or even full-time employment, partnership or ownership in the future.
