Managed Care Header Webcredits line

No doctor has immunity from the demands of ICD-10 coding and the proper use of the CPT billing system. No doctor is immune from reprimand, censure, or a claims recovery action when mistakes are made by themselves or others under their supervision.

This year the NJSOP's Third Party Committee is very pleased to bring The Ultimate Reimbursement Conference to New Jersey. We have invited seasoned clinician and expert educator Dr. Joe Deloach to our podium to bring decades of consulting experience on the delivery of both well vision and medical/surgical eye care to a diverse patient base. He brings practical experience working with the regulatory challenges which we all face and some plain talk about the future of our profession.

Need a blueprint for success while using your clinical training and diagnostic arsenal to deliver excellent patient care and great outcomes? See you on Wednesday November 8th.

PRACTICING EXCELLENCE IN A CHANGING HEALTHCARE WORLD

How healthcare will be delivered, who will deliver that care and how providers will be reimbursed for care is rapidly changing. Competition for primary eye care and eye care products is increasing. New primary care options are on the horizon including on-line and kiosk based examinations, on-line consultative care telehealth, relegation of primary care to allied personnel and robotics. Communication in the areas of social media are fundamentally changing how practices operate. And the financial impact of embezzlement is increasingly impacting small business.

EXCELLENCE IN COMPLIANCE
Practicing optometrists are faced with significant responsibilities to comply with State and Federal laws related to patient privacy, patient protection, fraud and abuse and quality reporting. Government enforcement of HIPAA, OSHA, HR and Fraud and Abuse laws is at an all-time high. Providers are also being asked to go above and beyond normal medical record documentation to substantiate provision of quality care MIPS. The presentation will provide optometrists with the base knowledge necessary to protect their practices by being compliant with HIPAA, OSHA, HR, Fraud and Abuse and quality reporting systems.

EXCELLENCE IN PRIMARY EYE CARE DELIVERY
Knowledge and management of primary eye disease is rapidly changing. It is also full of some fact, some fiction and a good deal of opinion. This presentation attempts to provide current, evidence based, ethical concepts in the diagnosis and management of five common ophthalmic encounters dry eyes, cataracts, care of the diabetic patient, glaucoma and retinal disorders. Current diagnosis and treatment modalities are discussed often with clinical examples to demonstrate care. Each segment includes a short discussion of ethical decisions in reimbursement of these conditions based on current technology.

CODING AND BILLING Q+A
This is a unique opportunity to participate in an in depth, intimate discussion period with Dr. Joe DeLoach.  Anything and everything you want to know about medical reimbursement in the changing health care system.  Bring your thoughts, bring your questions – lets figure out together how to survive the changing health care arena.
